Our take
AT&T Internet Backup suits a household that already has AT&T Fiber and a phone or tablet on an eligible AT&T unlimited wireless plan. AT&T says it is included for those customers at no additional cost, so there is no separate monthly fee. When the fiber line goes down, the All-Fi Hub switches by itself to that phone's wireless data, and back again once fiber returns. The catch is that it needs an existing AT&T account on both sides, so it is not an option if your home internet comes from another provider.
